2004, I worked as a Registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages.  The office was fast-paced, with moments of joy registering newborns and sorrow consoling grieving relatives, requiring compassion, empathy, and patience to serve a diverse community.

I answered a FISU ‘Ad’ and met Jasmini and Rajesh Ananda!  I was so fortunate that Jasmini taught me to meditate.  I had been giving out Reiki and Indian Head Massage to help others.  I realised I was doing little to help myself with many insecurities.  Within a few short months, I began to feel the subtle difference meditation was making for me.  It brought me calmness, peace, inner strength and contentment.  It has heightened my perception and intuition and helped in all areas of my work and personal life.   I went on to train as a teacher, and I had the pleasure of meeting many FISU meditators from the UK and abroad who all share the love and warmth of the FISU family.  20 years of meditation later, I am proud to say that I now have the best job of reaching out and teaching FISU meditation; it is just so rewarding!
