Meditation Courses

The FISU Meditation Course spans three months, consisting of ten sessions divided across four modules. Each session lasts approximately two hours. Residential and Non-residential courses are available at more than 50 centers across nine countries. Weekend modules also exist.

Learn To Meditate - 1-2-1, Weekend or Retreat (Non-Residential or Retreat Residential)

Initially, you’ll be invited to attend a free introductory talk, either at one of our centers or online, where we’ll explore the topic “Why Meditate and What Meditation Is All About.” This gentle introduction offers a chance to learn about the benefits and purpose of meditation, how it can support your personal growth, and what to expect in our course. We understand that starting something new can feel daunting, especially when it involves committing to regular practice, so this session is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Following the talk, if you feel inspired to join a non-residential or residential course, you’ll be provided with the dates for the first few sessions. As with any meaningful journey, the real benefits of meditation come from consistency, and we wholeheartedly encourage each participant to embrace the practice regularly. Each session builds on the last, and your commitment to attending and practicing between sessions will deepen your experience, bringing about more profound changes over time. Even small steps each day can lead to powerful transformation, and our supportive environment is here to nurture and guide you along the way, encouraging you to truly benefit from this journey into self-discovery.

10 Meditation Classes over 3 Months in 3 Modules

The usual Foundation course comprises ten sessions over a three-month period, where you’ll learn various meditation techniques. Each session lasts a minimum of two hours and is conducted either individually with a teacher or in a small group setting.

During the first week, you’ll need to visit the teaching center twice, and then typically once every other week. From the very first session, you’ll begin meditating and practicing on your own at home. The course also includes “revalidation” sessions to ensure you’re practicing correctly, while also introducing more advanced techniques.

We also offers weekend courses non-residentially or via a retreat experience residentially.

Course fees are quite affordable, and you can view them by following this link.

Below is an overview of what is covered in the Meditation Courses:

The Prep-Technique – Weeks 1-3(Module 1)

In the first week or weekend, you’ll learn the Preparatory Technique—a simple yet profoundly effective meditation practice that prepares you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for the more advanced techniques introduced later in the course. This practice provides deep physical relaxation and rejuvenates both the body and the central nervous system. With regular practice, it helps expand and develop the qualities of the mind and heart, setting the stage for the advanced techniques taught in subsequent sessions. Additionally, self-management and discipline are key benefits of consistent practice.

Another core aspect of the Preparatory Course is to provide information and insights that help you understand the experiences you may have, either during or outside of meditation, and to ensure you grasp their significance.

You can practice meditation at home independently and enjoy the many benefits of this powerful, life-transforming technique. Consistent practice and dedication are essential for balanced, integrated growth and serve as preparation for more advanced techniques, which further accelerate spiritual development.

Tratak, Pranayama & Gurushakti

Tuning into Universality – Weeks 5-10 (Modules 2 )

During this phase or second weekend, you’ll not only revalidate your experiences from previous sessions but also learn the practice of Tratak. Tratak is a powerful method for developing the ability to concentrate the mind without effort, transforming it into a more effective tool for personal growth. While the first part of the course focused on using the mantra—engaging the sense of sound—to delve within, this practice introduces a visual element that similarly guides you deeply inward.

Tratak complements and enhances the effects of mantra meditation, and vice versa. Additionally, you will learn Pranayama, a breathing practice that integrates more vital energies into your system. Pranayama helps elevate your vibrational energy, detoxify the body, improve digestion, address constipation, manage obsessive thoughts, and aid in controlling temper or irrational behavior. The Gurushakti practice, taught next, enables you to tune into universal energies, bringing them into your daily life beyond meditation.

Gurushakti is a universal spiritual force that encompasses the Universal Energy Source, Universal Intelligence, and Universal Love. With consistent practice over time, you’ll feel the power of Gurushakti uplifting, sustaining, and strengthening you, greatly accelerating your spiritual development. The effects of this technique accumulate over time; the longer you practice, the more profound the results.

This marks the beginning of true transformation. While relaxation can be achieved through various temporary methods, our meditation system creates harmony between the three facets of human existence—body, mind, and spirit—leading to self-integration.

When all these aspects work together in harmony, numerous benefits naturally follow. This harmony fosters better health, prevents illness, and helps resolve mental, emotional, and spiritual issues.

Full Techniques & Validation

A period after the Initial Course (Module 3)

During the second-to-last meeting private, you will be initiated into the Full Techniques, where you will receive your personal mantra for the first time and start using it in meditation. This mantra is uniquely aligned with your personal vibration, and you will also learn additional techniques, similarly tailored to your vibration, that support and accelerate your personal growth.

The following week, a checking session will help address any remaining questions or challenges that may have arisen during the revalidation sessions. You will also listen to audio recordings covering topics relevant to meditation and spiritual development. Afterward, you will be invited to participate in our Deepening Courses, known as “Togatherings.” These Togatherings are designed to enrich your meditation experience and provide greater insight into the philosophy behind our teachings.

Procedure To Book A Non-Residential Meditation Course

You can practice meditation at home independently, enjoying all the benefits that this powerful, life-changing practice offers. Consistency and dedication are key to achieving balanced, integrated growth, and they also serve as preparation for more advanced techniques that can accelerate spiritual development—a journey toward a better life.

We encourage you to try one of our non-residential courses or classes. Visit our “How to Learn” page to get started. Information on upcoming introductory talks can be found here.

We look forward to welcoming you on this meaningful journey!
